    Momone Nagaura lives with her parents, grandfather and younger sister on an island in Kesennuma Bay, Miyagi Prefecture. In the spring of 2014, Momone Nagaura graduates from high school and moves to the city of Tome. She fails to enter a university. While she tries to figure out what to do with her life, she begins to work as an apprentice of a forest guide. A turning point in her life occurs. A popular weather forecaster from Tokyo arrives. Momone Nagaura walks on a mountain with the weather forecaster. She hears from the weather forecaster that the weather forecaster can predict the future. Momone Nagaura becomes touched by that comment and decides to become a weather forecaster. She studies hard for the exam to become a weather forecaster. With the help of the people around her in Tome, she finally passes the exam. Momone Nagaura moves to Tokyo and begins to work at a private weather forecasting company. Working there, she grows up as a weather forecaster. Several years later, in 2019, a major typhoon approaches Japan. To help her hometown, she heads to Kesennuma Bay.

    In the second month of the ninth year of the reign of Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, a great fire tore through the town of Edo. Starting from Maruyama, it spread to Komagome. The prosperous greengrocer Yaogen was also razed as well. The only daughter of the house of Yaogen, Oshichi, was then sent to stay at the Daijoji (temple) until the shop, which also served as her home, was rebuilt. At the temple, Oshichi fell in love at first sight with the Kichisaburo, who works at the temple. Kichisaburo seems to be the son of a samurai, whose identity is unknown. On his side, Kichisaburo too, has strong feelings for Oshichi, and before long, their secret love marks the start of a tragic love story

He has such a strong desire to marry to the extent that he has bought an apartment for his newlywed life. He falls in love with female criminals at first sight each time. While the sheer desire to meet wraps around him, he will get proof that the female is the culprit. And so, he will thrust both the arrest warrant and marriage papers at her, proposing with the words, "If you marry me, I won’t arrest you." If that still does not work, he will hold out an engagement ring and his handcuffs. In the end, the criminal will choose to be arrested and his heart will be broken. He will cry as he puts the handcuffs on her.

    In the Susukino red light district of Sapporo, a private detective (Yo Oizumi) drinks alcohol with his driver Takada (Ryuhei Matsuda) in his favorite bar. There he receives a phone call from a woman who identifies herself as Kyoko Kondo. The woman asks the detective to complete a simple task. The detective, having an excellant sense for danger, thinks the work is easy and accepts the case. The next day he begins the investigation.

    Not longer after he starts, the private detective is kidnapped and buried under snow. He barely manages to get away thanks to the arrival of his driver Takada. The detective is now angry and vows revenge. He then receives another phone call from Kyoko Kondo. The private detective and Takada investigate further and they soon comes across a mysterious woman named Saori (Koyuki), a mob boss named Toshio Kirishima (Toshiyuki Nishida) and four murder cases ...
