Three sons and one daughter gather at the eldest son’s house at their father’s deathbed. They need to divide up their father′s legacy of 2 billion won. In the presence of a public notary, the father leaves half of the inheritance to his eldest son and the other half to be shared by the rest of the children. The first son is disappointed that he only got half while the others complain about their small inheritance. In the midst of this escalating sibling dispute, the first son receives a phone call from someone claiming to have kidnapped his son! The kidnapper threatens to kill the boy if he doesn′t pay 2 billion won. To save his only son, the first son starts demanding his siblings hand over their share of father′s two billion won to the kidnapper. The film is rich in ideas that will draw the audience in. As the inheritance gets tangled up with the kidnapping, the situation goes from bad to worse. Each character is affected, unleashing more of their personality, as events race towards an unexpected conclusion.

During the unprecedented manzai (two-person comedy act) boom of the mid 1980s, Sasaki Nobuyuki (Ninomiya Kazunari), later Danshun, meets the rakugo (traditional Japanese comic storytelling) storyteller Tatekawa Danshi (Beat Takeshi) at a junior high school performing arts appreciation festival. Several years after this electrifying encounter, Nobuyuki, who is now a high school student, knocks on the door of the Tatekawa school for the purpose of becoming Danshi’s disciple. Danshi sternly tells him to bring his parents if he wants to quit school and become his disciple. The Tatekawa school does not allow a person to be a disciple without the support of parents. Nobuyuki tries to persuade his parents, but he is told by his father (Terajima Susumu), “At the very least, finish high school.” He breaks off with his father and leaves home. The next day, Nobuyuki visits Danshi and lies that both parents met a freak accident and died. He begs Danshi to make him a disciple. He will live in a newspaper stand and earn money by working part-time. This spurs Danshi to give Nobuyuki the name “Danshun”, and he gains admission into the Tatekawa school. Dandan (Kitamura Yukiya), Kansai (Miyagawa Daisuke) and Danboru (Arai Hirofumi) are Danshi’s senior disciples. Danshun does the household chores and other unreasonable demands instructed by Danshi together with them every day. He wonders if this is training and why Danshi does not give them lessons in rakugo. One day, he is told by a senior disciple Shinosuke (Kagawa Teruyuki), “If you don’t like it, become a futatsume quickly”. The ranks of a rakugo storyteller are minarai, zenza, futatsume and shinuchi. He will finally be recognised as a rakugo storyteller and be able to hold rakugo performances freely after he becomes a futatsume. At the Tatekawa school, if a disciple can remember 50 rakugo classics and convincingly perform the material selected from among these by the head of the school on the spot, he will be able to advance to the rank of futatsume regardless of the number of years he has been training. Shinosuke achieved this within one and a half years of becoming a disciple and is now a futatsume. Danshun finally sees what he should do and memorises material without sparing time for sleep. About half a year passes. Danshun finally gains his parents’ approval and is able to get minimal living expenses. He quits his part-time job at the newspaper stand, gains Danshi’s favour and develops steadily. But one day, when Danshi says he will give him lessons, Danshun, who has caught a cold, declines because his thought is that he must not cause trouble for his master. This displeases Danshi and after that, he never offers to give lessons again. Danshun is told to work at Tsukiji for one year if he wants to continue as Danshi’s disciple. The word of the master is law in the world of rakugo. Danshun has no choice but to help out and sell siew mai at Tsukiji. However, he hears from Shinosuke that there is a disciple who refused this “Tsukiji training” and goes to complain about this disciple Shiraku (Hamada Gaku).

A high school reunion. Among the men and women who seem to be excited about reuniting after a long time, a strange woman is present. Former classmates who are curious about the presence of this woman, open a chat app and start a meeting. What is the identity of the woman who blends into their memories? Is she an acquaintance they just forgot, or someone else? The high school's dark history they hid is being dug up. Exchanges happen in the real world, in a cafe bar, and in the virtual world, on SNS. At the cafe bar ODAZY, the second party of a high school alumni association is held. Classmates Akemi, Ryoko, Yoshioka, and Odashima are intimidated by the fact that a strange woman is present. While continuing the conversation, they have a meeting about the identity of the woman through a group talk on SNS, but the mystery only deepens. Eventually, the woman begins to talk about Akemi and Ryoko's dark history in high school, six years after graduating. Akemi and Ryoko were in the lower ranks of the school caste when they were in high school, and were ignorant of the class idol Yumi-chan. The two made an impersonation of Yumi-chan's personal account and repeated the unprecedented slander. Yumi-chan suffered from mischief without love, did not go to school, and disappeared. What is the true identity of the mysterious woman? Yumi-chan's twin sister? Yumi-chan herself? Akemi and Ryoko, who should have been "best friends", begin to curse each other while the suspicious demons are spreading. Yumi-chan's revenge begins ...

Nodame and Chiaki mutually decide that it would be for the best if they parted ways for a while so Nodame can practice for an upcoming competition. However, when things don't go her way, she gets impatient and depressed. While Nodame is away, Chiaki's former pianist Rui Son returns to take her place. To make matters worse, Rui and Chiaki are set to play the song Nodame dreams of playing with Chiaki herself: Ravel's "Concerto in G Major".

Na Young works at a post office and is sick and tired of being around her shamefully unyielding mother and her pushover father who's excessively nice. The only thing that she can look forward to is her trip abroad in a few days. But one day, her father leaves home without any notice. Her mother doesn't care what happens to him and doesn't care to look for him. Na Young has no choice but to give up her dream trip abroad and to search for her father instead. Once she arrives at her parents' hometown, Na Young is shocked to meet someone she'd never expect, even in her dreams.

The person who appears before Na Young is her 20-year old mother, Yeon Soon, who looks just like Na Young. The world that Na Young falls into is the time and place her mother lived in 30 years ago. Yeon Soon thinks of her future daughter, Na Young, as her friend and treats her very nice. Na Young is shocked by her mother's pure and innocent appearance, which is totally different from what her mother will be years later. Na Young so happens to live there with her mother, Yeon Soon, and soon after she discovers that her mother has an unrequited love for a young postman. The postman, who rides a bicycle with his glittering eyes, is none other than her father, Kim Jin Kook.

After falling into this mysterious world, Na Young gets tangled up in the middle of the love that unfolds between her mother and father.

A program titled 'Today's Science' produced by Producer Seoyeon is on the verge of abolition. The program ends up being abolished as conflicts between staff members get worse. As Seoyeon begins writing this experience, her daily life mixes with her fantasy.
