Action and adventure abound in this story of friendship between two rival firefighters, Kichigoro and Jirokichi in old Japan. When Mukai Sadayu, the vassal of Kaga Clan’s accounting officer, Shinagawa Daihachi demands that Omon serve him tea in his mansion and she refuses, the clan’s samurai abduct her setting in motion a series of events that will bring the two firefighters into a world of danger and excitement. The story started in high school. Su Yun Jin was a gentle and quiet student, while Cheng Zheng was the total opposite of her. He fell in love with her and started to pursue her until they sat in college, even when they studied in a different university. After a while they finally started dating.

However, the difference in their family background and personalities caused them to part way with each other. A few years later, Yun Jin established a successful career and Cheng Zheng reappeared in her life.

Story based on the legendary mansion at No. 81 on Chaoyangmennei Street in Beijing, which local legend says is haunted by the ghost of a Kuomintang official's wife, who committed suicide in the home around the time of the Cultural Revolution. The film follows Xu Ruoqing a woman whose presence in the notorious mansion draws up the spirits that have taken residence there.

Aoyama Takashi is a salesman who works in a company that exploits him. At first excited about finally gaining employment, he soon finds that his life as a salaryman is miserable. He is berated and hit by his superior, and forced to work unpaid overtime. Depressed and convinced that his joyless life is not worth living, Aoyama tries to throw himself in front of a train. However, he is saved by Yamamoto, a cheerful guy who claims to be Aoyama's childhood friend. Aoyama's life begins to change because of Yamamoto, but when he starts digging into Yamamoto's identity, he realizes that Yamamoto is not entirely what he seems.
