The story follows a young man who has been single for a year after his boyfriend suddenly disappeared without a formal breakup. One night, while scrolling through a dating app, he encounters someone who looks strikingly similar to his ex. He works diligently on his craft and interacts with the deceased in a world full of grotesque misery. Adopted as a child, he has endured abuse, disdain and severe ailments his whole life, and the weight of his burden is made heavier by a younger brother (Park Ji Ah, Breath) who yearns to be a woman.

Xia Zhi (by Xiao Shenyang) bluffs a lot. He is blowing hot air in his lover Xiao Xue's (by Ivy Chen) restaurant as usual. Meanwhile, Xia Zhi notices a group passes the restaurant. He tells that it must be a kidnapping case, but he doesn't expect the criminal member hear it. Criminal boss (by Andrew Lien) guesses Xia Zhi is the partner who hides the swag. They decide to kill him in case he exposes their secret. Lousy killers try to kill Xia Zhi several times but fail. The weirdest thing is when polices follow Xia Zhi to the crime scene. It looks like nothing had happened before. Can Xia Zhi provide the evidence to prove that his life is in danger?

Sakatsuki Shizuto is a mourner. He goes to scenes of accidents and mourns for the victims. Nagi Yukiyo, who killed her husband and served prison time, goes to the scene of the murder and meets Shizuto. She follows him from that time.

Other people that exists in their lives are Shizuto’s mother Junko who is terminally ill with cancer and waits for Shizuto’s return, his younger sister Mishio who is pregnant by her now ex-boyfriend and a magazine reporter who chases after Shizuto. Lee Doo-Sam makes incredible profits, but he becomes restless and gets addicted to methamphetamine.

Meanwhile, Prosecutor Kim In-Goo is transferred to the Busan Prosecutors' Office. While investigating a drug case, he notices Lee Doo-Sam. He targets Lee Doo-Sam and the powerful people who took bribes from him.

Based on the Japanese Invasion, a drug king sells drugs to China and Japan and uses the money on Joseon Independence movement.

With Kie and her family facing many tragedies in life, she turns to the spiritual and goes to pray at a shrine. A priest there tells her that her family is facing karma caused by her gangster ancestor. After Kie decides to perform a ritual, she finds herself back in time in the body of a man who had been killed. She meets all the gang members including her own great grandfather, Khung. While getting to know him, Kie attempts to prevent Khung from performing the action that would lead to her family's misfortune.

High school student Asuka sees the appearance of a dead student named Haruka and tries to find her body. Asuka and her friends try to find the eight scattered pieces of Haruka's corpse in the school. In doing so, they learn more about the Red Person who is pursuing them. The Red Person hunts down the students who are alone in the school to kill them, and until they exit the school gates, the Red Person will keep appearing before them. When the Red Person kills a student, it scatters the student's body into eight pieces and tasks others to find the pieces in the school. If Asuka does not find Haruka's body, the day will keep repeating and she and her friends will continue to die until they find it.
