In the meantime, denied by Satomi who thought Mikami was just playing with her, Mikami's attempts on pursuing his med school classmate Nagasaki had also been with much frustration.

Ran Ho is the sweet and thoughtful best friend to Roxanne, and has been in love with her since they first met 5 years ago. When a new co-worker joins their company, Roxanne falls in love at first sight and confides in Ran Ho.
